Does ayurveda has veiw for this ?

GBS could be understood as a type of Vata Vyadhi (nervous system disorder dominated by Vata dosha). Here’s why:
- Vata dosha governs the nervous system, movements, sensory functions, and communication within the body.
- GBS presents with numbness, tingling, weakness, and paralysis — all of which are classic symptoms of Vata disturbance.
- The degeneration or malfunctioning of the Majja Dhatu (bone marrow and nervous tissue) and impairment of Snayu (ligaments, tendons) and Srotas (nervous channels) could be involved.
- If there is inflammation or infection involved initially (as in post-infectious GBS), Pitta dosha could also be vitiated, leading to “Aam” (toxins) accumulation, which then blocks the Vata movement.
Thus, GBS can be thought of in Ayurveda as a complex Vata-Pitta-Aama disorder affecting Majja Dhatu and the nervous system Srotas.
